Wow!! So as I was doing some research this morning and found a story on TV’s first prescription drug ad. Now upon coming across this story, I can’t say I personally remember. I thought it was prudent to share it because now every time you turn around, there’s a different medication being aired. That just got me to thinking, how much money is spent on advertising! I wonder how many people are watching these commercials and listening to the symptoms, running to their doctor saying I need medication A, B or C.
Have you ever listened to the side effects of these medications? I am so serious I’d be running from these drugs. Let’s get back to what this post is about. The first prescription drug ad on television. I am so thankful to Stat.com for sharing this story. What was the first drug… I’ll give you a hint, it starts with M.

What is the first one you remember? I am thinking I remember one about Bayer Aspirin. I would have to ask Eric later today what he recalls. I don’t remember the television seeming to have nearly as many commercials then as they do now. It doesn’t matter what channel you are watching, you can see either a commercial for Viagra, Humira, Lyrica and others. Those come to mind easily because they are seen so often. Wait a minute!!! Wow, I just had a light bulb moment. Did you?
What prescription drugs have you seen on television that come to your mind? When I asked our twins, our daughter said Allegra!! WOW!! Our son literally dislikes this one dental commercial that comes on. He remembers the commercial even if he is not seeing it on television. Now let me ask you something? If you started developing certain symptoms, would it make you remember a certain commercial and you contact your doctor? I bet seven out of ten people would do this. Why? Because that commercial has been so ingrained in their mind.
We want you to share with us.. what are the top three commercials with prescription drugs you remember right now? Ready, set, go!!!!
